would like to promote the registered charity "IT Can Help" which provides free assistance to disabled people with computer problems.
The ITCH Network, founded in 1994 and a programme of The British Computer Society, is a nationwide network of volunteers providing FREE computer support to disabled people, usually in their own homes, but also at other locations such as residential homes and day centres.
ITCH volunteers help by providing impartial advice on computer hardware and software, installing new equipment and software, connecting to the internet and use of email, solving technical problems which may arise, giving advice and assistance with hardware and software upgrades and generally by helping the client to get the most out of his or her computer and software. ITCH volunteers do not, however, conduct assessments for specialist access devices but can suggest organisations which may be able to help.
